This map shows the general areas of land in which the 12 Tribes of Israel settled during the time of the Judges before Israel established a kingdom.

Yes, there are 13 territories and the Tribe of Levi isn't shown. However, both Manasseh and Ephraim are part of the Tribe of Joseph that received a double portion of the inheritance from Jacob (Israel). Manasseh was also split during this time period. If you count the 3 territories as belonging to the Tribe of Joseph and count the Tribe of Levi who lived in cities within each territory, you'll come right back to the number 12!
