Danites - An Israelite Tribe (5 of 12)

Described as a lion and serpent that will leap onto it's prey, the Danites show up in most of the gatherings of the 12 Tribes of Israel, but for the most part, they go their own way, apart from God. Jacob/Israel's last hope for them was that they would be saved in the end. They don't appear among the 144,000 in Revelation, but Ezekiel says they will have their place in the new millenium. 

The most notable Danite, aside from Dan, would be the Judge and Strong Man, Samson.
