Herod Antipas - A Herodian Tetrarch

Herod Antipas married his brother's wife, Herodias. At a birthday celebration, Herodias' daughter, Salome, danced for the crowd and won a favor from Antipas. In response, Salome requested that Antipas deliver John the Baptist's head to her on a platter. Earlier on, Antipas had jailed John, and due to his public promise to give Salome anything she wanted, he did as she asked.

Herod Antipas is also the Herod who examined Jesus' body after the crucifixion.
