Gath - A Philistine City, Home of Gittites, A City of Giants

Gath is most famously known as a home of Anakim giants that included Goliath and four of his kinsmen that were slain by King David and his men.

Gath is listed among the territories that God told Joshua would still be delivered to Israel as an inheritance after Joshua's death. (Joshua 13) And it was King David who eventually took Gath (the 1st time) from the Philistines as God promised. (1 Chronicles 18:1)
