- Genesis is the book of beginnings that sets the stage between God and man. The universe, the earth, man, animals and plants are all created, and sin does not wait long before wrecking havoc on all. Near the end of Genesis, the 12 Tribes of Israel and the Nations of the World also see their beginning, the remnants of which we can observe to this day.
