The 2020 World English Bible (WEB) is a modernized version of the 1901 American Standard Version (ASV). While still being literal, many words and phrases were updated and punctuation was added. A fresh look at the more recent collection of Greek and Hebrew texts also helped to clarify areas that were harder to discern a hundred years prior.
